Wind Speed and Direction System
With Mipeg X you can integrate 3rd parties analogue sensors. By adding interface logic and software, new features can be incorporated.
Anemometers are available both for safe area use as well as EX certified alternatives. Mipeg X can integrate both mechanical anemometers as well as ultrasonic sensors.
The wind speed will be measured and displayed on the operator`s display. The operator may be pre-warned if the wind speed reaches pre-defined thresholds for shutting down the crane operation.
The Wind Direction is often combined with the wind speed and the wind direction sensor is normally mounted on a hand rail or onto the mast above the crane cabin.
The Mipeg X will display the wind direction onto the crane boom. This is the important direction for the operator as this will give an indication of the expected force and movement on the load.
